About

Kayce is an artist and educator living in Chicago. She draws, illustrates, makes small objects, and works in video, installation, and performance. She has exhibited nationwide, screened internationally, performed locally, and collaborated on two published graphic novels. Originally from North Florida, Kayce received her BA from Florida State University, MFA from the Memphis College of Art in Tennessee, and currently teaches at The Chicago High School for the Arts. As a teacher, creative event organizer, and stuff-maker, Kayce sees art as a place to play and inspire curiosity. Interested in art that is approachable and inclusive, Kayce works to create opportunities for participation and collaboration in many of her undertakings. She is the other half of musical project Jacques Hammer & Wanda Drug and curatorial/production experiment Good Stuff House.
